New Season Ahead

After clinching promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking, Chris Hughton has been told he has money to spend to strengthen.

I welcome this news and trust fans (like myself) will be hoping Chris Hughton will be able to brng in players to help keep us in the league, whilst strengthening over the next few seasons.

Sol Campbell has joined Newcastle - despite ridicule from sections of fans (not just Toon fans) about his weight.

Campbell vows to get back into full fitness after recently getting married in the North East.

Two other players we have got in areJames Perch, who has looked good in pre-season and Ryan Gosling on a free transfer from Everton. Gosling will be out recovering from a ligament injury for the first half of the season.

The other good news is that not only did Newcastle United win the championship (with ease) but also went to La Coruná, Spain to play Deportivo at the Riazor Stadium for the Trofeo Teresa Herrera.

Newcastle won this on penalties, securing Chris Hughton his second trophy in 3 months.

This Blog will be back up and running and for those who visited, sorry for going missing - but welcome back!!!!
